My name is Shelley Loving and my passion is helping others go from kitchen dread to creating simple and healthy recipes that taste delicious.
Through challenging life experiences and life-threatening health scares, I’ve learned just how powerful food is in shaping our lives—from the way we think and feel to how we look and act.
I am the founder of On The Fork. A supportive community where like-minded home cooks come together to make real, lasting changes in their health and kitchen skills. Members gain confidence with healthy cooking, learning how to make nutritious meals that fit their busy lives. With shared experiences, encouragement, and easy-to-follow recipes, we’re transforming healthy living into a joyful, sustainable lifestyle.
I’m now the proud author of the best-selling cookbook What’s On Your Fork?!. I had dreamt of writing a cookbook for 4 years, and it finally happened in October 2022. I wanted to inspire others with anti-inflammatory, delicious recipes that aren’t complicated. The book is on Amazon and BarnesandNoble.com
I am passionate about helping you learn a healthy way to eat that isn’t difficult, expensive, or time-consuming.
My husband’s heart attack happened in 2014. 3 years later, I had a yearning to learn more about a healthy and holistic lifestyle so in 2017 I attended The Institute for Integrative Nutrition and received my certification as an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach.
That set me on a path wanting more food education and in 2019 I attended The Academy for Culinary Nutrition where I became a certified Culinary Nutrition Expert. My love for learning kept growing and in the summer of 2021 earned my certification as a Certified Professional Cook from Rouxbe Online Culinary School.
I have big goals and more schools up my sleeve, but for now, I just want to take all that I’ve learned, apply my own magic sauce, and create classes and teachings for the everyday home cook.
My husband almost died from a massive heart attack at the age of 41 and that began, very slowly, my path toward understanding how food really does impact and control our health.
During this 8 year journey I have learned that gaining a healthy relationship with food is NOT an overnight fix but that it’s an everlasting journey with no final stopping point or end destination.
Throughout my 8+ year navigation for a healthier life, I have embraced flexibility and the ability to show myself grace and unconditional love. This is the pillar for my teachings. I always want you to show yourself patience, open-mindedness, and grace.
I promise to keep the topic of healthy eating simple & inspiring. My hope is that you feel my warmth and authenticity through my offerings and that you find my professional opinions helpful and relatable to your own life.
I want you to gain valuable information that you can apply to your kitchen and make it relatable for your own busy schedule.
